Exciting work from home opportunity for a Remote Sr. Azure and Systems Administrator role! This position offers full-time remote work at Ligonier Ministries. Ligonier Ministries, a Christian non-profit organization, is seeking a talented Sr. Azure and Systems Administrator. The IT Infrastructure team is part of IT Operations and responsible for Ligonier’s on-prem and cloud networks, servers, systems, and security. This role is responsible for researching, implementing, configuring, and maintaining IT infrastructure and systems. The position works closely with the Manager of IT Infrastructure to implement security initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts. Sr. Systems Administrators also provide end-user tech support as needed and informal mentorship to other team members. What you bring on day one: Agreement with Ligonier’s General Statement of Faith. Love and submission to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to the Church. 3+ years of solid experience as an Azure administrator (AWS is a plus). 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator managing Microsoft 365. Enthusiastic and avid user of generative AI for productivity and efficiency. Experience implementing new technologies, applications, automation, and AI solutions. Expertise leading complex tech projects independently and with cross-functional teams. Cutting-edge industry knowledge and familiarity with a wide range of technologies. Experience with information security and compliance standards, such as PCI DSS. Associate- and expert-level certifications (especially Azure/Microsoft) are a plus. Responsibilities include: Managing Entra ID, Azure servers and services, and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Planning, coordinating, and implementing security controls and measures to protect Ligonier’s identities, apps, data, and devices. Administering Ligonier’s email security gateway to protect users from phishing attacks and other email-based vulnerabilities. Managing and supporting user-facing IT systems and equipment, including but not limited to forensic cameras, copiers, access control, VoIP, and video conferencing setups. Ensuring business continuity by monitoring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and verifying the successful completion of backups. Actively contributing to the documentation of SOPs and organization-wide policies. Working with other Technology & Innovation teams to support org-wide initiatives and maintain complex data and web application infrastructure. Overseeing and maintaining the organization’s DNS systems and external DNS services. Administer networks, including switches, routers, APs, SD-WANs, VPNs, ZTNA, and firewalls. Making strategic recommendations about the organization’s tech stack to improve reach, revenue, productivity, stability, and security. General qualifications: Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing Proficient in creating technical documentation and knowledge-based articles Serves others with outstanding customer service skills Driven and able to maintain focus in stressful situations Entrepreneurial disposition, always seeking ways to increase efficiency Meticulous, adaptable, and resourceful Exercises leadership without formal authority Provides technical mentorship to team members Strong analytical skills; superb at dealing with ambiguity Takes initiative and makes responsible decisions Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Passionate about helping teammates and end users This position is for a non-profit Christian organization located in Sanford, FL. At this time, we are only able to hire individuals who are authorized to work in the United States. The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
