Accounting & Tax Associate

This can be a remote position, must have a Bachelor's degree, and have 2 years of relevant experience. Must live Central time or EST, and be able to work EST hours. Experience with/knowledge of alternative assets is desirable as well. Job Summary: This role supports both payroll reporting and complex accounting functions. Responsibilities include processing payroll transactions, reconciling data, and assisting with the onboarding of new clients. The position also involves reviewing alternative assets and supporting various ad hoc accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities: ->Payroll Reporting • Import and categorize payroll transactions for clients using internal or external payroll services. • Reconcile gross wages, taxes, deductions, and benefits. • Collaborate with clients and payroll providers to resolve discrepancies. • Support year-end payroll reporting for tax filings. Complex Accounting ->Transition Year Reconciliation • Upload and verify historical financial data. • Reconcile records with prior tax filings and adjust discrepancies. • Coordinate with internal teams and client representatives to ensure accurate financial onboarding. ->Ad Hoc Accounting Support • Assist in reviewing alternative assets such as offshore entities, closely held stock, and note receivables. • Prepare and update annual depreciation schedules.
