Position Overview
We are actively seeking enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individuals to fill the role of Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) for in‑home ABA therapy sessions in the Woodstock, GA area. While the role is based in Woodstock, we also offer remote or hybrid opportunities for qualified candidates who can travel to client homes within a reasonable radius. As an RBT, you will work directly under the guidance of a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to deliver one‑on‑one therapeutic services that help children develop essential communication, social, academic, and daily living skills. Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Interaction
- Provide individualized, evidence‑based ABA therapy to children aged 2‑18 in a home environment, following the treatment plan designed by a supervising BCBA.
- Conduct discrete trial training, natural environment teaching, and skill acquisition sessions that target communication, socialization, adaptive behavior, and academic goals.
- Collect accurate, real‑time data on target behaviors, skill acquisition, and treatment fidelity using digital data‑collection tools.
- Implement behavior support strategies, including reinforcement schedules, prompting hierarchies, and crisis intervention techniques when needed.
Collaboration & Communication
- Maintain regular, proactive communication with the supervising BCBA to discuss client progress, challenges, and any necessary plan adjustments.
- Engage with families, caregivers, and other professionals (e.g., teachers, occupational therapists) to ensure consistency across settings and promote generalization of learned skills.
- Document session notes, data trends, and any incidents in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies.
- Participate in weekly case review meetings, providing insights and feedback that contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Professional Development & Compliance
- Maintain active RBT certification, completing the required 5% continuing education hours annually.
- Attend on‑site and virtual training sessions offered by Key Autism Services, including new‑hire orientation, advanced ABA techniques, and ethical best practices.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing ABA service delivery, client confidentiality, and workplace safety.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (additional post‑secondary coursework in psychology, special education, or a related field is highly preferred).
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working directly with children in a 1:1 setting, preferably within an ABA, special education, or therapeutic context.
- Active or eligible for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification; we provide comprehensive assistance to obtain or maintain the credential.
- Reliable personal transportation (vehicle, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance) to travel between client homes.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Physical capability to lift up to 35 lb, kneel, squat, sit on the floor, and move quickly within a 100‑foot radius to respond to client needs.
Preferred Qualifications & Additional Assets
- Previous experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, or ABA Tutor.
- Familiarity with Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans, Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS), or other augmentative communication methods.
- College coursework or a degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Developmental Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Experience with data‑collection software such as CentralReach, Catalyst, or Rethink.
- Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning, evidenced by participation in workshops, conferences, or additional certifications (e.g., Certified Autism Specialist).
