About the Role: Patient Registration Customer Service Representative
We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark's Ascension Via Christi Hospital Pittsburg location. As a Patient Registration representative, you'll be the first point of contact for patients checking into the hospital, providing a vital service that requires both technical expertise and emotional intelligence. This PRN (as needed) role demands a flexible and adaptable individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on multiple computer screens and answer phones to intake patient information accurately and efficiently in a busy hospital environment.
- Collect and input patient and insurance details correctly between physician and nurse check-ins, requiring strong typing skills and the ability to multitask.
- Provide compassionate care to patients who may be experiencing illness or anxiety, listening attentively to their concerns and addressing their questions and fears.
- Build rapport with patients in real-time, asking follow-up questions and providing personalized support to ease their anxiety.
- Work effectively in a dynamic environment where clinicians may interrupt the registration process for emergent clinical care, requiring adaptability and composure under pressure.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
