Director, Product & Software Engineering – Cloud

Job Description: • Define and execute cloud engineering strategy aligned with overall cloud and SaaS product goals • Implement Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC), DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines to automate and optimize cloud operations and software delivery • Identify and implement product performance metrics, proactive optimization strategies, and establish observability and KPIs for continuous improvement • Partner on operations practices for cloud cost management and forecasting, manage departmental budget, and optimize resource allocation including oversight of third-party vendors and outsourced engineering work • Lead and develop engineering teams, manage multiple concurrent projects, and oversee talent management (recruitment, coaching, performance evaluation, succession planning) • Partner and collaborate with product, architecture, engineering, and cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions into SaaS offerings • Champion innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices in cloud software development • Direct cloud-based software engineering across the full development lifecycle, including end-to-end release management to ensure efficient, reliable delivery of cloud products • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for high-quality software products, including disaster recovery, backup, and data protection Requirements: • 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering • 5 years in leadership roles • Strong understanding of cloud security, data architecture, compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOC 2), and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) • Demonstrated success in SaaS or product-driven organizations • Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum methodologies • Track record of leading modernization initiatives across legacy and cloud environments, including AI/ML integration • Understanding and knowledge of multi-cloud strategies and hybrid architectures • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience • Certification in software engineering - AWS Certified Developer • Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization tools (CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer) Benefits: • Physical and Mental Health Benefits • Choice of Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans • Telehealthcare – for Medical and Behavioral visits • Generous PTO with buy/sell options • 9 Company holidays, a floating day off, and a day off for volunteering • Employee Assistance Program • Wellness program - earn insurance discounts or credit towards health-related items • Financial Health Benefits • 401K Plan with employer matching contributions • Company-funded spending/reimbursement accounts to help with out-of-pocket medical expenses • Bonus and Recognition programs • Tuition Assistance • Consultation with financial planner • Basic Life & AD&D Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance provided, and Supplemental Term Life Insurance is available • Group Discount programs - mobile, technology services, etc., to help you save money
