The Role: Disney Experiences Social Media Intern
We're seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our team for the Spring 2025 internship period. As an Intern on the Digital Integration team, you'll have the chance to apply your academic skills in a real-world setting, working alongside our innovative team to develop and implement social media strategies that drive engagement and bring the Disney Parks experience to life online.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and curate high-quality, engaging content for Disney Parks' social media channels and blog, including writing, editing, and publishing posts.
- Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more.
- Monitor and analyze social media trends, metrics, and performance, providing insights to inform future content and campaign decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all digital channels.
- Utilize content management systems (CMS) like WordPress and social content management platforms like Sprinklr to create, schedule, and publish content.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, best practices, and platform updates, applying this knowledge to optimize our social media presence.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and tools.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, as well as image and video editing software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and present ideas effectively.
- A deep understanding of social media platforms, including their features, best practices, and current trends.
- An electronic online portfolio showcasing your relevant work, which can include projects from internships, personal endeavors, or academic courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internships or experience in digital marketing or social media, demonstrating your ability to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting.
- Familiarity with social content management platforms like Sprinklr, which can help you hit the ground running.
- A passion for the Disney brand, or previous experience working with or within the Disney ecosystem.
Education and Eligibility
To be considered for this internship, you must:
- Be pursuing a bachelor's degree (or recent graduate) in Social Media, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Be enrolled in an accredited college or university, taking at least one class in the semester or quarter preceding the internship, or have graduated within the past 6 months.
- Be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.
- Not have completed one year of continuous employment on a Disney internship or program.
