Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Costume Support team as a Disney Live Entertainment Costume Support Intern for Spring 2025. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting costume inventory management and handling the life cycle of fabrics for The Walt Disney Company Worldwide. Key Responsibilities
- Perform SAP transactions such as organizing cycle counts, order processing, and costing to ensure accurate costume inventory management.
- Prepare journal entries and run month-end processing requirements to maintain accurate financial records.
- Review, analyze, and quality check data to identify and resolve discrepancies, partnering with internal Costume team members to reconcile payment or quantity discrepancies with accounts payable.
- Prepare documentation for international sales and shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Forecast material purchasing needs and participate in space planning efforts to optimize inventory management.
- Collaborate with the Materials Handling team to ensure seamless execution of costume inventory management.
- Assist with Corporate Character Costume orders and support Operational garment needs.
- Focus on site-specific projects to drive process improvements and enhance customer service.
Requirements and Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program.
- OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting.
- OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Major or previous coursework in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Management, Fashion Merchandising, Costume Technology, Apparel Buying, Apparel Development, Sourcing, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Smartsheet.
- Knowledge of accounting and purchasing practices, such as Accounts Payable.
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Theater or performing background, ideal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP transactions and inventory management.
- Familiarity with Disney's costume inventory management processes.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Candidate Requirements
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the requirements below:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Program.
- Available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
- Able to provide own housing in the Orlando, FL area and have reliable transportation to/from work.
Internship Details
This is a full-time 6-month internship, commencing on January 11th, 2025, and concluding on June 7th, 2025. As a Disney Live Entertainment Costume Support Intern, you will report to the Area Manager of Character Inventory.
