Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to provide administrative support to the music team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and technical skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment. The Virtual Assistant will be responsible for managing music metadata, coordinating signal sheets, and supporting music licensing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Music Metadata Management: Input and manage sound resources and music signal metadata into the prompt sheet management system for all ESPN organizations.
- Signal Sheet Coordination: Support the coordination of signal sheets, including endorsement of music prompt sheets, assistance with signal sheets to licensors, and consistent reporting for all ESPN organizations.
- Music Licensing: Aid in the planning, recording, dealing, and association of music licenses and related music documentation.
- Music Asset Management: Assist in the organization, maintenance, and support of the Music Division's sound hardware and software.
- Music Library Management: Work with Music Facilitators to arrange, accumulate, and convey series/occasional music bundles for allocated Creations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reporting and analysis on music usage, licensing, and other music-related activities.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the music team, production contacts, and external partners to ensure seamless music operations.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in music, broadcast, technical, or related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel; experience with music metadata management systems and audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition) is an asset.
- Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated organizational and relational skills and capacities required.
- Availability: Ability to work second shift and weekends, as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in music operations, broadcast, or a related field.
- Language Skills: Spanish language proficiency is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Experience with audio/video equipment and recording gear (e.g., Truck, ENCO, and CD duplication); familiarity with WordPress or similar Content Management Systems.
