MNIT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Archer Specialist to join their team as part of this project. As a key member of the MNIT cybersecurity team, you will provide technical assistance and expertise in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) space, utilizing your knowledge of Archer to drive success.
Job Overview
This is a remote, part-time position that offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals. As an Archer Specialist, you will be responsible for producing Archer documentation, supporting troubleshooting of general system issues, system development and improvement, setting up new asset records in Archer, processing exception requests, and providing input into Archer Optimization Assessment. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining control standards, identifying areas of improvement, and driving the success of the MNIT cybersecurity team.
Key Responsibilities
- Archer Documentation: Update and create descriptions for Application fields, layouts, data feeds, schedules, data-driven events, and end-user documentation.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve general system issues, including user system access, record permissions, data feed failures, and advanced workflow failures.
- System Development and Improvement: Customize the system to fit different user requirements, including findings, exceptions, remediation plans, and more.
- New Asset Record Setup: Reach out to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create new applications, devices, and business processes, and update existing records and maintain inventory of master data.
- User Accounts: Manage onboarding, offboarding, and transfers, including investigating who to reassign assets to and updating group membership.
- Exception Requests: Manually process exception requests, create exceptions, send to submitters/reviewers, and process extensions.
Essential Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience working with Archer in a development or administration role.
- 2 or more years of experience implementing Archer solutions in a similar environment at Federal or State agencies.
- 5 or more years of experience configuring RSA Archer modules, creating applications, dashboards, reports, and workflows.
- Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Certified industry standard certifications, such as Archer Certified Specialist or Archer Certified Expert, are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with security and compliance and audit assessments processes, with a focus on IRS, NIST 800-53, HIPAA, and Affordable Care Act.
- Knowledge of creating and managing data feeds to import and export data from various sources.
- Experience with Integration (using APIs, Web Services, and other integration tools), Scripting (any scripting language for custom object development within RSA Archer), and Database Management (SQL for querying data and managing the Archer database).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
- Experience with project management tools and techniques, including Agile methodologies.
