About the Role
In this full-time remote position, you'll work directly with customers, addressing their concerns, and providing personalized support. You'll be responsible for:
- Engaging with customers via phone, email, or chat to resolve their queries, concerns, or issues related to their pet shopping experience
- Researching and problem-solving to determine the best solutions for customers, thinking proactively, and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure contact resolution
- Utilizing active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness to customers and team members alike, operating with a customer-centric mindset
- Collaborating with teammates, your direct manager, and other team members across various levels of the organization using virtual collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, and webcams
- Adapting to changing business needs, demonstrating flexibility, and a willingness to learn and grow
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) - you'll be assessed on your written communication skills as part of the hiring process
- Fluency in both Canadian French (Quebecois) and English - this is a critical requirement for the role
- The ability to multitask, perform well under pressure, and navigate multiple systems and tools simultaneously
- Proficiency in using computers, data entry, and rapid navigation through systems and the internet to support customers
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge:
- A passion for pets or experience working in a pet-related industry
- Previous experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, customer service software, and technology
Technical Requirements
To work effectively in this remote role, you'll need:
- A dedicated workspace with minimal distractions and background noise
- A reliable, wired, high-speed internet connection (30 Mbps+ download speed/ 10 Mbps+ upload speed)
- A computer, monitor, and other necessary equipment will be provided by blithequark
- A cell phone or tablet for two-factor authentication via Okta Verify
