Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Dance Instructor to join our team in Bridgeport, CT. As a Dance Instructor with Fred Astaire Dance Studios, you will have the opportunity to teach private and group dance classes, work with students of all ages and abilities, and be part of a dynamic and supportive team. Key Responsibilities
- Teach private and group dance classes to students of all ages and abilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students and align with the studio's curriculum
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive, supportive learning environment
- Participate in studio events, performances, and competitions
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to achieve studio goals and objectives
- Stay up-to-date with the latest dance techniques, styles, and trends
- Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders
- Meet sales and revenue targets through effective marketing and promotion of studio services
Requirements
To be successful as a Dance Instructor with Fred Astaire Dance Studios, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Education and Certification: A degree in dance or a related field, or equivalent experience and certification
- Dance Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching dance, with a strong background in ballroom dance styles
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with students of all ages and abilities
- Physical Fitness: Excellent physical fitness and endurance levels, with the ability to perform dance routines and teach classes for extended periods
- Business Acumen: Basic business skills, including marketing, sales, and financial management
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
