The Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) Association within American Express plays a critical role in driving profitable business growth by reducing credit and fraud risk and maintaining our clients' trust in the security of our digital products.

The Advanced Risk Products and Data Strategy (RPDS) team within CFR is the backbone of all risk decisions and helps build digital products for risk management across the customer lifecycle. As a member of this team, you will work with the industry's best talent to create insightful and innovative digital risk products that drive our market share and shape the way we work.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive project expectations to achieve business results, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge digital products and solutions.
• Develop and implement digital risk products that advance our market share and drive business growth, using the latest tools and technologies.
• Partner with various risk strategy partners, technology teams, and other Digital Product teams to build and iterate Advanced Products that directly impact millions of customers and prospects.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements while maintaining a client-focused design approach.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business needs and translate them into effective solutions, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Business, or Engineering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in product management, software development, or a related field, with a client-focused design approach.
• Knowledge of SQL, SAS, Java, Hive, Yellow Block, or Python, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to work autonomously with modern, unstructured initiatives, and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in prototyping, iterative development, Scaled Agile Systems, and related methodologies.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices, particularly in the financial services industry.
• Experience working in a global and diverse team environment, with a strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
