About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to join our Global Merchant and Network Pricing (GMNP) team, which is responsible for driving a significant portion of American Express' revenue. As an Executive Assistant, you'll provide administrative support to senior leaders, including the VP of Global Merchant Pricing - Americas and VP, NCG/RCCG/MA&SE. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, confirm, and proactively manage detailed schedules, handling all aspects of complex senior-level meetings and related logistics
- Place, receive, and manage a high volume of calls and messages
- Schedules and direct high volume of complex international and domestic travel, including flights, hotel, and ground transportation; coordinate essential identification/visa documentation
- Perform general tasks, including scheduling communication, record association, research, and preparing pre-meeting review materials
- Prepare travel and expense reports on a timely basis
- Exercise discretion in managing highly sensitive and confidential information
- Develop and implement employee communications, including scheduling of town halls, leader updates, and phone calls
- Other related tasks and responsibilities as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A strong ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively while meeting tight deadlines
- Self-motivation, great initiative, and prioritization skills
- Bilingual with the ability to communicate in Spanish (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to use good judgment, act independently, and be creative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Demonstrated personal excellence and a strong work ethic with a great will to win
- Proficiency in the use and applications of American Express systems and processes
