About the Role
As a Flight Attendant with Delta Airlines, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, ensuring the safety and well-being of our passengers, and working collaboratively with other crew members to deliver a seamless flying experience. You will be the face of Delta Airlines, representing our brand and values to our customers, and playing a critical role in maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with lifting and stowing baggage into overhead compartments
- Demonstrate the use of safety and emergency equipment and ensure safety requirements are met
- Prepare, serve, and sell drinks (including liquor) and meals (which may include beef, pork, fish, peanuts, etc.)
- Answer questions and assist passengers when needed, especially those with special needs and conditions
- Effectively manage the safety and comfort of passengers in the event of flight delays or turbulence
- Control and direct emergency procedures or provide emergency care (e.g., performing CPR and basic first aid) when necessary
- Provide clear and accurate directions (verbally and/or non-verbally) to passengers in case of an emergency
- Make decisions to resolve issues in accordance with Delta policies, procedures, and core values
- Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve work tasks
- Manage unexpected changes in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment
- Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

Essential Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
- Ability to obtain and maintain current a visa and travel documents to enter and leave destinations where Delta flies freely
- Must have a valid visa with at least 30 months validity remaining before the first day of training
- Complete a pre-employment Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test, and comprehensive background check, including a government-required fingerprint-based criminal history record check
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened
- Ability to open emergency exits and close aircraft doors weighing up to 60 pounds and use of a food/beverage cart requiring 32lbs of force while pushing or pulling
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Ability to speak multiple languages (for Bilingual Flight Attendant opportunities)
