You'll bring your data engineering, collaboration, and analysis skills to help develop a data-driven culture by designing and delivering analysis solutions and making data analysis easier and more effective for blithequark.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with source data application teams and product owners to design, implement, and maintain analysis solutions that provide insights to inform better decisions.
- Implement data migration and data engineering solutions using cloud products and services, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, and more.
- Perform multiple aspects involved in the development lifecycle - design, cloud engineering (Infrastructure, architecture, security, and networking), ingestion, readiness, data modeling, testing, CICD pipelines, performance tuning, deployment, utilization, BI, alarming, and support.
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate within a team environment as well as work independently.
- Be part of a DevOps team that fully owns and supports their product.
- Implement batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies.
- Drive the development of coding standards, best practices, and security and protection rules.
- Mentor others on technical and domain skills to create multi-functional teams.
Requirements for Success
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- 3 years of programming solution development experience using agile, DevOps, working in a product model that includes planning, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
- 3 years of data analysis experience using SQL.
- Combination of Development, Architecture, and Support experience in several of the following tools/platforms:
- Scripting: Python, JavaScript, Unix, SQL.
- Data Platforms: Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake.
- Azure Data Explorer.
- Organization skills an or more.
- Azure Cloud Technologies: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Azure Functions.
- CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform.
- BI Analysis Tool Stack - Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Denodo, and Grafana.
- Data Warehousing: DataStage, Informatica.
- Data Governance and Security: Informatica Axon and EDC, BigID.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of programming solution development experience using agile, DevOps, product model that includes planning, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
- 3+ years of data analysis experience using SQL.
- 3+ years of full-stack development experience, ideally in Azure.
- 3+ years of cloud development and data lake experience (favor Microsoft Azure) including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, ADX, ASA, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Aviation Industry Experience.
Skills, Licenses, and Certifications
- Aptitude with the Azure Technology stack for data management, data ingestion, capture, processing, curation, and making utilization layers.
- Mastery in providing functional direction within the Azure Local cloud services.
- Azure Development Track Certificate (preferred).
- JavaScript Certification (preferred).
