Job Summary
As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for gathering and inputting data into our databases, ensuring the accuracy of significant company records, and maintaining the security and confidentiality of all data entered. You will work closely with a team of data professionals and a Data Manager to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in the data, suggest improvements to data management procedures, and contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry and Management: Accurately and promptly input customer and account data from source documents, including text-based and numerical information, into our databases and spreadsheets.
- Data Verification and Correction: Sort information based on priorities, ensure accuracy, correct errors and deficiencies in data, and check for any incompatibilities.
- Research and Data Completion: Conduct research to obtain missing information for incomplete documents and apply relevant data program techniques and procedures.
- Reporting and Data Storage: Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations, and perform backup operations to ensure data security and integrity.
- Confidentiality and Security: Maintain the confidentiality of all information processed and comply with data integrity and security policies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with a team of data professionals and a Data Manager, respond to inquiries, and provide access to relevant files when required.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and rectify any errors or inconsistencies found in the data and suggest ways of improving data management procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our systems.
Essential Qualifications:
- Data Entry Experience: Previous experience as a Data Entry Clerk or in a comparable position, with a strong track record of accuracy and efficiency.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using spreadsheets, databases, and other data management systems, with excellent typing skills and attention to detail.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and maintain files and records, both physical and digital.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in data.
