Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Group Fitness Instructor to join our team at our client site located in Spring, TX. As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering fun, effective, and safe group exercise classes to members participating in our program. This is a part-time position, teaching 1-5 classes per week, with the possibility of instructing in-person and virtual group exercise classes. We welcome applicants with a background in teaching various group fitness formats, including dance, yoga, kickboxing, step, boot camp, and circuit training.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-energy, engaging, and safe group exercise classes to members participating in our program.
- Teach 1-5 classes per week, with the possibility of instructing in-person and virtual group exercise classes.
- Develop and implement creative and effective lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of our members.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
- Collaborate with our team to promote our fitness programs and services.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest group fitness trends and best practices.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
Essential Qualifications
- Current 200+ HR Yoga or group exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT, or other NCCA nationally accredited specialty class certification.
- Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute within 30 days of hire.
- Meet hiring requirements, including but not limited to, a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching various group fitness formats, including dance, yoga, kickboxing, step, boot camp, and circuit training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to create engaging and motivating lesson plans that cater to different fitness levels and goals.
- Flexibility to work a part-time schedule, with the possibility of adjusting hours as needed.
