About the Role
As an Operations Management Manager at CBRE GWS, you'll be responsible for overseeing a team that plans, manages, and directs business operations for a small to medium-sized client or region. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the success of our clients by providing strategic guidance, leadership, and expertise in operations management.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management: Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and coach team members to achieve their full potential.
- Operational Excellence: Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Financial Management: Prepare ad hoc data reports for revenue, expenses, and other business metrics, and evaluate trends to identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policy, business and professional licensing, real estate law, and state and federal guidelines.
- Data Integrity and Systems: Maintain data integrity across systems used by the team, and partner with regional teams and departments to identify and implement organizational "best practices."
- Training and Development: Assist with the development of training programs, business processes, and system training programs to enhance team performance.
- Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate the communication of policies, procedures, and initiatives to create consistency across the region, and lead by example by modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may impact business operations.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, or a combination of experience and education that demonstrates your expertise in operations management.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations management, preferably in a commercial real estate or facilities management setting.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant software applications.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset and ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information.
