We are now seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager Scientific I to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team within Value Medical Project Management. This role offers the freedom and flexibility of working from home, combined with the opportunity to work on-site for 3 days each week at one of our locations in Rahway, NJ, or Upper Gwynedd, PA.
Job Overview
As a Project Manager Scientific I, you will play a pivotal role in leading the technical management and continuous development of project management tools, processes, systems, and reporting capabilities. You will collaborate closely with the project management team, key stakeholders, and business owners to drive enterprise system integration, explore new digitalization initiatives, and pilot data analytic solutions. Your strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and ability to navigate matrix organizations will be essential in driving success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical implementation of project management systems and reporting, including the creation of tailored dashboards providing senior stakeholders with key metrics and reports.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups to identify and address standardization gaps in existing and new processes, ensuring appropriate cross-system connection and integration.
- Support user adoption of tools by providing hands-on support and necessary resources such as trainings and job aids.
- Act as a subject matter expert for VMPM collaboration spaces (SharePoint & MS teams), tools, and systems, ensuring their proper setup, maintenance, and governance.
- Identify and leverage emerging technologies and systems to improve process execution based on organizational needs and stakeholder input.
- Pilot and implement digital capabilities to enhance systems and tools supporting key VMPM processes.
- Deliver set goals with a high degree of autonomy while managing stakeholders appropriately.
- Drive cross-functional and organizational integration of the VMPM PMO by contributing to various workstreams and collaborating with other PMOs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably in a scientific or technical discipline.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry or a similar science-driven industry.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in project management, preferably within a PMO function.
- Strong technical expertise in project management tools and systems, with preferred experience in data analytics (e.g., Power BI) and low coding platforms such as the MS Power Platform ecosystem for solution creation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively lead and manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience in driving process improvement and change management initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- A project management certification (or similar) is preferred, along with experience or curiosity in developing data analytics solutions.
