Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Provider Customer Service Call and Chat Representative to join our team in a remote capacity, based in Houston, TX. This role is pivotal in serving as the advocate for our providers, demonstrating a high level of accountability and ownership in resolving issues efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for providers, addressing their concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide service to providers through multiple channels, including calls and concurrent chats, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Quickly and appropriately triage contacts from healthcare professionals, such as physician offices, clinics, and billing offices, to ensure prompt attention to their needs.
- Seek to understand and identify the needs of providers, answering questions, and resolving issues related to benefits and eligibility, billing and payments, clinical authorizations, explanation of benefits, and behavioral health.
- Research and dissect complex prior authorization and claim issues, taking appropriate steps to resolve identified issues, avoid repeat calls/messages, escalations, and provider dissatisfaction.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple internal partners to ensure issues are resolved and thoroughly communicated to providers in a timely manner, fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication.
- Demonstrate strong multi-tasking skills to navigate more than 30 systems, extracting necessary information to resolve and avoid issues across multiple lines of business, provider types, and call types.
- Influence providers to utilize self-service digital tools, assisting with navigation questions, and selling the benefits of these tools, including aiding in faster resolution and enhanced customer experience.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a foundational level of education and a commitment to personal and professional development.
- Must be 18 years of age or older, ensuring maturity and stability in handling complex customer service interactions.
- 1+ years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of analyzing and solving customer concerns, showcasing a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences.
- Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications, highlighting adaptability and a willingness to embrace technological advancements.
- Ability to type at a speed of greater than or equal to 35-40+ WPM with an accuracy of 90%, demonstrating proficiency in keyboard skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work any full-time (40 hours/week) shift between the hours of 10:35 AM - 7:05 PM CST from Monday - Friday, showcasing flexibility and a commitment to meeting the demands of a dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a related environment, such as an office, call center, or customer service role, using phones and computers as primary job tools, indicating a familiarity with the tools and technologies used in the position.
