Job Overview
We're currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Long Term Acute Care to work on a travel assignment in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a long-term acute care setting, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assess patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing education and support as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in the state of New Jersey or eligible for licensure.
- 2+ years of experience in long-term acute care, with a strong understanding of patient care needs and clinical best practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
- National and state certification in long-term acute care, as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a travel or per-diem capacity, with flexibility to work varied shifts and schedules.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology.
