Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Bookkeeper with expertise in QuickBooks Online to join our innovative team. As a Remote Bookkeeper, you will provide financial support to external clients, working closely with our Director of Bookkeeping Services. Key Responsibilities
- Client account preparation and cleanup: Ensure client accounts are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with accounting standards.
- Conversion of client accounts to QuickBooks Online: Seamlessly transition client accounts to QuickBooks Online, leveraging your expertise in QuickBooks Desktop.
- Handling Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage and track client receivables, ensuring timely payments and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Entering and paying Accounts Payable (AP) invoices: Accurately process and record AP invoices, maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Credit Collections: Proactively manage credit collections, working closely with clients to resolve any outstanding issues.
- Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile client accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Sales Tax filing: Compile and file sales tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Handling special projects: Provide support for special projects, such as financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Compiling expense reports: Accurately compile and process expense reports, ensuring timely reimbursement for clients.
- Organizing and filing documents: Maintain organized and confidential files, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Maintaining confidential files: Ensure the confidentiality and security of client files and financial information.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- At least four (4) years of bookkeeping experience, with a strong background in QuickBooks Online.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online, with experience in QuickBooks Desktop a plus.
- Knowledge of how to integrate credit card and vendor transactions via QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with compiling and filing Sales Tax returns.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to schedule and accomplish assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Articulate with excellent communication skills, including grammar and spelling.
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems.
- Friendly, collaborative, upbeat “can-do” attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., Fiscal Management).
- Additional certifications, such as Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) or QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU).
