Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team at blithequark. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in planning and executing cycles and arrangements related to a wide variety of informational indexes utilized for information/text mining, analysis, and business decision-making. This is a full-time, remote opportunity that offers a competitive hourly rate of $25. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute cycles and arrangements related to a wide variety of informational indexes utilized for information/text mining, analysis, and business decision-making
- Apply statistical analysis procedures to inspect structured and unstructured data from multiple dissimilar sources to gain insights into key business issues and expectations
- Develop and implement solutions from initial concept to production, and communicate results to a wide range of audiences
- Utilize current and emerging technologies to assess trends and develop significant insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the data available for analysis
- Guide less senior staff, work in cross-functional teams and projects, and regularly present to management
- Drive navigation using data, statistical and quantitative analysis, limited modeling, and fact-based management
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, or Finance
- At least 3 years of work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations research, marketing analysis, simulation development, or predictive analysis
- Proficiency in analysis software and applications
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and results to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experiences are considered an asset:
- Experience or coursework with Agile methodologies
- Experience with the following: requirements gathering; probability and statistics; TSQL/PLSQL; Python or R; numerical analysis; discrete data analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx, Python/R, automation, revenue data, and basic accounting information
