**Job Summary**
We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Data Entry Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our engineering and completions support team, you'll be responsible for accurately entering and validating technical data into smart completions systems and managing complex Excel spreadsheets. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential in ensuring the integrity and compliance of project standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
• **Accurate Data Entry and Validation**: Enter and validate technical data for equipment (e.g., valves, transmitters, motors, panels, etc.) into smart completions systems (e.g., Hexagon SmartPlant, Aveva, or similar) with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• **Complex Spreadsheet Management**: Manage and update complex Excel spreadsheets with equipment characteristics, tags, make, model, serial numbers, and specifications, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
• **Technical Data Interpretation**: Review and interpret engineering datasheets, P&IDs, and loop drawings to extract and verify technical information, applying correct tagging conventions and ensuring traceability across systems.
• **Data Audits and Compliance**: Perform regular audits to identify data discrepancies and ensure integrity and compliance with project standards, collaborating with engineering, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to resolve data gaps or inconsistencies.
• **Reporting and Dashboard Support**: Support the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards using Excel or Power BI, providing data-driven insights to inform project decisions.
• **Data Transitions and Imports**: Assist with data imports, cleanups, and transitions between systems as required, ensuring seamless data flow and minimizing disruptions.
**Required Qualifications & Experience**
• **Technical Background**: Diploma or certification in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical Technology, or related field, with a strong foundation in technical data management and interpretation.
• **Industry Experience**: 2+ years of experience in a technical or industrial data entry role, preferably in oil & gas, utilities, or large capital projects, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
• **Technical Skills**: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, data validation, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other advanced features. Experience with Smart Completions Systems (SmartPlant, Aveva, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• **Analytical and Organizational Skills**: High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to read and interpret technical documents such as datasheets, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and I/O lists.
• **Eligibility**: Eligible to work in the US, with a valid work authorization.
**Nice to Have (Assets)**
• **System Familiarity**: Familiarity with systems like SAP PM, Maximo, or CMMS tools, with experience in data management and integration.
• **Advanced Technical Skills**: Experience with Excel VBA, Power Query, or Power BI, with a strong understanding of data visualization and reporting.
• **Industry Standards**: Understanding of industry standards for instrumentation and electrical equipment (ISA, IEC, NEC, etc.), with a commitment to ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• **Commissioning and Turnaround Experience**: Prior work on commissioning or turnarounds in industrial settings, with a strong understanding of project timelines and data requirements.
