Job Overview

The External Support Engineer is a critical role at arenaflex, responsible for providing technical support to external content creation teams that use the company's tools and platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to content and external teams in regards to the use of content tools, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
• Create reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills needed to use the tools effectively
• Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows, working closely with the tools engineering team to identify and implement solutions
• Escalate more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, and work with production to track these issues in Jira, ensuring that they are properly documented and addressed
• Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, providing feedback and recommendations to the tools engineering team to help drive continuous improvement
• Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, contributing to the development of new features and products
• Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure that products meet the needs of external content creation teams
• Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, providing exceptional support and service to external teams and stakeholders

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The following qualifications are essential:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
• Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of game development
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with the ability to use these tools to track and manage issues effectively
• iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of mobile app development
• 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong track record of success in software development
