Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Virtual Support Needs Educator to join our team of remote instructional specialists. As a Virtual Support Needs Educator, you'll be responsible for delivering virtual academic instruction to assigned students with mild to moderate support needs and extensive support needs. You'll create engaging lesson plans, promote creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment, and nurture student relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver virtual academic instruction to assigned students with mild to moderate support needs and extensive support needs.
- Create engaging lesson plans aligned with the class curriculum and promote creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment.
- Nurture student relationships and create strategies to engage and support student learning.
- Keep track of student grades and performance, and provide regular progress updates to parents and guardians.
- Participate in virtual faculty meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in virtual teaching.
- Collaborate with in-class facilitators to ensure seamless integration of virtual and in-class instruction.
- Record student progress and maintain accurate records of student performance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Authorization to Work in the United States: You must be authorized to work in the United States and hold a valid Social Security number.
- Teaching Certification: You must currently hold an active, USA state-issued teaching certification in one of the areas above.
- Bachelor's Degree: You must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Technical Requirements: You'll need a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access to participate in virtual instruction.
- Background Check: You'll be required to participate in a virtual skills teaching demonstration and submit a background check as part of the application process.
- Prior Online Teaching Experience: Prior online teaching experience is a plus, but not required.
