They are seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to support and maintain robotic vending systems in the field, focusing on troubleshooting and ensuring operational reliability of the machines.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting at the base location and across field locations
- Diagnose and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Repair and reassemble mechanical assemblies, replace faulty components
- Work directly with robotic and mechatronic systems (actuators, motion systems, sensors)
- Test key subsystems including cooling, heating, and sensing
- Support deployment of control software updates and verify system behavior
- Ensure machines are fully operational after service interventions
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify issues
- Maintain service records and update task status
- Collaborate with engineering to report issues and improve system reliability
Skills
- Experience with PLC-based systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with electromechanical / mechatronic systems
- Understanding of control logic and signal flow
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with tools and mechanical assembly
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Experience with robotics or manipulators
- Experience with servo systems or motion components
- Experience with refrigeration or food equipment
- Experience with IoT or connected systems
