Job Description:
• Use data mining tools to search, sort, and organize large amounts of electronic information
• Deploy off-the-shelf and proprietary data collection, analysis, and reporting tools
• Responsible for receiving, documenting, storing, transferring, and returning evidence for forensic analysis and production
• Maintains inventory control procedures for all evidence and oversees the release, destruction and subsequent paperwork of same
• Create and provide reports relating to evidence handling as requested
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of applications used for data management and storage
• Work as part of a team to provide technical solutions to automate processes and functions to improve data storage and retrieval processes
• Work within the boundaries of an overall practice methodology and blueprint
• Develop ad-hoc data reports and analyses
• Maintain appropriate documentation to include events such as chain of custody
• Report to work on a regular basis within time and attendance policies
• Provides data and quality control for all DC lab projects
• Collect and analyze electronic data from a variety of electronic media, including desktops, laptops, cell phones, tablets, etc.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or experience commensurate with level
• A minimum of 7 years of experience collecting and analyzing forensic data; professional services experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding and application of forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, NUIX
• Proven ability to collect and analyze data from various media including: desktops, laptops, tablets, cell phones, social media, etc.
• Proven ability to maintain appropriate documentation such as Chain of Custody (CoC)
• Certification in 1 or more tools preferred (EnCE, FTK, GCFE)
• Willingness to travel and meet position needs outside of regular business hours
