About the position
Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical expertise in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems. You will focus on compliance and Kubernetes management, ensuring robust networking, configuration, and deployment across secure environments. This role involves supporting compliance-driven sustainment, documenting technical processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet evolving security needs. Base compensation ranges from $170k to $260k, with a compelling benefits package for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
• Provide technical expertise in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems.
• Focus on compliance and Kubernetes management.
• Ensure robust networking, configuration, and deployment across secure environments.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree plus 14 years of systems engineering experience, or 19 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong grasp of Kubernetes networking, deployment, and configuration.
• Proven ability to support compliance-driven activities using enterprise tracking and documentation tools.
• TS/SCI with FS Polygraph is required.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Salt, Ansible)
• Experience with Rancher
• Experience with Helm
• Experience with observability tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, or Grafana.
• Security+ (CWIP) certification is a plus.
