I am looking for an experienced industrial designer to create a production-ready CAD model for a premium automotive accessory (kids car organizer with armrest), intended for physical sampling (not injection mold tooling).
This is a function-driven product with locked dimensions, real-world vehicle testing, and a detailed sample brief already prepared.
Project Scope
Create a clean, accurate 3D CAD model of the product
Focus on:
correct geometry
ergonomics
real-world usability
CAD will be used for sampling and manufacturer communication, not final tooling
Required Experience
Industrial design background
Experience with automotive accessories, soft goods, or consumer products
Comfortable designing soft goods with rigid internal structure
Understanding of ergonomics and real-world constraints
Ability to follow a detailed brief without simplifying functional requirements
Software (preferred)
Rhino 3D (preferred)
or Fusion 360
SolidWorks acceptable if experienced with soft goods
Deliverables
3D CAD model (STEP or IGES)
