Job Summary:

As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing individual and group educational plans for infants and toddlers, promoting social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans and educational activities to promote all developmental areas and improve readiness for preschool.
- Guide and facilitate daily classroom activities, field trips, and outdoor play to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Practice responsive caregiving, including individualized and small group activities, to promote relational learning and integrate routines into a flexible schedule.
- Conduct conferences, home visits, and maintain accurate records to ensure parents and caregivers are informed about their child's progress and development.
- Maintain a comprehensive and ongoing portfolio assessment for each child, including weekly observations, examples of work, and developmental assessments.
- Collaborate with Program Aides, Volunteers, and the Center Director to develop skills, plan activities, and ensure program quality.
- Protect the safety of children by implementing active supervision techniques and ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements:
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, with a focus on infant and toddler development.
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals and teams at all levels.
- Successful interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with great problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Head Start/Early Head Start program and commitment to fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
