We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Lunch and Playground Supervisor at West Elementary School. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and positive environment for our students during lunch and playground activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in the lunchroom, on the playground, and in the halls/corridors to ensure their safety and well-being
- Guide students in developing desirable social skills and habits, and encourage healthy attitudes and good behavior
- Maintain school rules and discipline, and report any incidents or concerns to the teacher and/or principal
- Inspect playground equipment regularly and report any safety concerns
- Respond promptly to student safety complaints and provide first aid when necessary
- Collaborate with staff, students, and the community to create a positive and inclusive environment
Requirements:
- GED or high school diploma preferred
- Experience working with children and a desire to continue doing so
- Positive leadership skills and a patient, friendly demeanor
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow oral and written directions
- Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and move quickly around the playground
