As a KYB Team Leader, you'll be instrumental in guiding and developing our KYB analysts, ensuring seamless operations and compliance. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:
Team leadership & guidance - Lead and manage a team of KYB analysts, providing guidance, coaching and support to ensure the team's success.
Performance monitoring - Monitor team performance and provide feedback during regular 1:1s to enhance your team members’ skills and maximize their potential.
Task & resource management - Organize tasks and resources according to needs. The main tasks that the team will carry out include KYC on merchants, screening (PEPs, Adverse media, Sanctions) and limited back office activities.
Inter-departmental liaison - Liaise with the Fincrime AML/CTF and Compliance team, to which the KYB team will escalate relevant cases. Also liaise with the Product team and the Merchant Support team based in Milan, to implement and enhance KYB controls and processes.
Process improvement & efficiency - Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
We are looking for an experienced team leader capable of communicating with clarity, honesty, and empathy. You’re hands-on, quick to learn, and ready to dive into operations. Numbers don’t scare you - in fact, you rely on them to make smart, data-driven decisions. You’re driven by impact, improvement, and a deep sense of ownership. Does this sound like you?
Team leadership experience - 2/3 years of experience in a team leadership or supervisory role, ideally in a fintech environment .
Organizational & time management - Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
KYC & operational experience - Proven experience as a KYB analyst with a strong understanding of KYC/AML regulations and processes, combined with practical operational experience.
Interpersonal & communication skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact not only with the team members but also with individuals at all levels of the company.
Language proficiency - Proficiency in English. Italian knowledge will be considered as a plus.
