We are seeking our Lead Copywriter Web, responsible for all copy and messaging across our web domains, primarily deepl.com.

To be successful in this role you need to be equal parts excellent writer, editor, digital and content strategist, and brand advocate. Plus a great communicator and facilitator, used to driving decisions while orchestrating different stakeholders.

This role will report to the Director, Creative Studio and will collaborate very closely with our Content Experience team. While Creative Studio and CEX are the main players to interact with in the marketing org, you will establish relationships with the product, campaigns, comms teams, and more. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record writing web copy and establishing messaging strategies for SaaS scale-ups.

• Have a passion for copywriting and a deep understanding of the role great copy plays in the customer journey and content experience.

• Establish a copy and content strategy to create consistent messaging that resonates with our audiences and is true to our brand.

• Stay up to date with our analytics and data and act on it.

• Further establish and utilize the DeepL brand voice and tone across our web channels.

• Understand localization requirements and work with our language experts.

• Influence the digital strategy and scope for our B2B marketing site.

• Work closely with art directors, designers, developers, and project managers to produce best-in-class copy.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing: campaigns, PMMs, comms, and more.

• Work with our SEO team to optimize copy and define approaches for AIEO/GEO.

• Demonstrable experience driving messaging and copy for medium to large B2B SaaS organizations - please include examples of these in your portfolio when you apply!

• Deep understanding of digital content strategy, information architecture, and customer journeys.

• Excellence in writing for the web with a customer and user-centric approach

• Experience working with brand, product, comms, and regional teams, with an understanding of the subtle differences required to succeed in each context.

• Familiar with CMS, component libraries, UX patterns, and design systems

• Exceptional analytical skills and ability to quickly digest web analytics and data

• Understanding of SEO best practices as well as strategies for GEO / AIEO

• Possesses a strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.

• Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities.

• Experience in presentation and storytelling, including pitching ideas to stakeholders and leadership.

• You are familiar with GenAI tools for ideation and copywriting

• Strong understanding of the language AI space and/or AI in general a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, Creative Writing, or related field
