We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Math Teacher to join our team as a 0.8 FTE Long Term Leave Substitute. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging math lessons to students, aligning with established core targets and catering to diverse learning needs
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and support students with specialized needs
- Develop and implement effective instructional strategies, utilizing a range of techniques and media
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsements
- Experience teaching high school mathematics courses
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse community and build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents
