About the Role
As a Data Scientist at Aetna, you'll be integral to developing and scaling AI and artificial intelligence solutions that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of CVS Health's IT operations. You'll work closely with informed authorities and colleagues to identify, predict, and recommend solutions to potential issues before they impact the system. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative and complex solutions using AI and statistical analysis.
- Develop models using Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and other technologies to predict and analyze data on hardware and software systems within a large server infrastructure.
- Support processes related to the implementation of systems into production, including the integration of purchased solutions.
- Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document solutions to ensure seamless execution.
- Work independently with broad guidance, taking ownership of projects and delivering high-quality results.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning with domain knowledge and experience in data-driven statistical modeling, discriminative techniques, feature extraction and analysis, and supervised learning.
- 2+ years of experience in a programming language such as Python, R, SQL, etc.
- 2+ years of experience in data extraction, wrangling, visualization, and analysis.
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to educate, share knowledge, and work with others to make the team successful.
- Strong work ethic with an innate drive to get the job done exceptionally well.
- Enthusiasm to deliver preferred products and services over and above expectations to clients.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, having the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:
- Experience handling data from various sources and through big data platforms (like GCP, AWS, etc.).
- Experience creating scalable AI models and solutions.
- Experience analyzing and implementing statistical models, Machine Learning algorithms, or other customized solutions that show significant impact in handling complicated business issues.
- Experience upgrading existing data pipelines by analyzing unstructured data sources and designing new elements.
- The ability to offer technical help and expertise to the broader team.
- A graduate degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields; or comparable working experience.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Data Mining, Statistics, Applied Science, or a connected field.
