Position Summary:
The motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner will support the delivery of healthcare technology solutions. This role is ideal for someone who can think critically with data (and use data to make and recommend key decisions), work independently, and collaborate closely with engineers to build and improve products that matter.
This roll will define product requirements, manage the backlog, and facilitate agile ceremonies while working “in the weeds” with the development team. Experience in mail order or specialty pharmacy environments is a strong plus.
The Product Owner is responsible for managing the lifecycle of products and services, including the development of new offerings and enhancements to existing ones. This role works closely with business stakeholders to align product strategies, roadmaps, and detailed requirements with overall business goals, ensuring products deliver value to customers while meeting operational and financial objectives.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Establish and maintain structured testing methodology and environments following the accepted project methodology.
· Respond to inquiries from users and technical support regarding functions and operations of software programs.
· Review requirements for projects and provides feedback and estimates.
· Participate n Agile daily scrum meetings and contributes to other essential sprint and backlog ceremonies.
· Develop and verify testing documentation, including test plans and Confluence pages, estimates scope and work effort, procedures, test scripts, test data setup, test results and hardware/software installation and set-up instructions (handbooks).
· Collaborate with non-technical cross-functional team members.
· Execute and track testing on assigned products, including new products and modifications to existing systems for both functional and non-functional testing.
· Use source code management and collaborative software development tools.
· Actively identifies potential process improvements, error trends and/or the root causes. Makes recommendations for remedies to colleagues and management.
· Communicates software issues through defects and enhancement requests to project team.
· Research and document software issues.
· Actively provides status to lead or manager on assigned projects.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Ability to understand the intent behind business and user requirements and offer thoughtful, practical input throughout the software development lifecycle

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, able to identify issues, evaluate options, and propose sound solutions with minimal guidance
- Comfortable working with business owners and stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document requirements
- Skilled at translating requirements into clear epics, user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria
- Proficient with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence); experience with Azure DevOps is a plus
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to manage multiple work items simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities

Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
· Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on digital commerce and CMS.
· Proven experience in product lifecycle management.
· Prior experience in Retail, Mail Order of Specialty Pharmacy, PBM, pharmaceutical or managed health care industry.
· Strong understanding and experience in Agile and waterfall methodologies including experience with Atlassian or similar tools.
· Working knowledge of program/project management principles and methodologies with previous involvement in high-visibility projects and familiarity with software development processes.
· Proficient with Miro, Microsoft Office, and industry related software programs.
Preferred Skill/Abilities:
· Testing experience within an organization that has utilized Rapid or Agile SDLC.
· Product experience with OpenAI chatbot.
· Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) / Certified SAFe Product Owner certification.
· Usability and coding practices for accessibility (ADA/508 WCAG 2.0, etc.) to ensure web products meet accessability standards.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
· Home-based office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and occasional local and/or overnight travel, including exposure to heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Transportation for travel typically will include automobile and plane.
· Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
