Job Description:
The Immediate Outreach group at Southwest Airlines leads direct selling methodology and strategies for Southwest Business. As a Business Development Representative, you'll play a crucial role in securing, managing, and developing corporate travel portfolios, as well as identifying new business opportunities and providing data insights to account managers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads through cold calling and email campaigns, engaging clients and building rapport in a professional manner
- Schedule appointments and maintain relationships with qualified leads for account directors
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of all sales activities in Salesforce
- Meet or exceed weekly/monthly lead generation objectives
- Provide customer service to Southwest Business Group and clients by responding to and managing sales inquiries
- Participate in ad-hoc sales projects, promotions, and planning
- Negotiate and execute corporate agreements, including Rapid Rewards Business and the Groups program
Requirements and Skills:
- Ability to participate in lead generation strategies, including prospecting and qualifying new clients via phone and email
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak freely in front of an audience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and complete projects with tight deadlines
