As an Installer II, you will be responsible for installation specifications and ensuring the proper setup of central office equipment.
Responsibilities
- Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling of central office equipment
- Identify and request parts necessary to establish low- and high-level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and provision for grounding
- Create comprehensive and accurate installation specifications and equipment requirements to fulfill customer orders
- Create or correct location records, drawings, bill of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect additions and modifications to customers' location (central office) because of installation or engineering activities
- Review installation specifications

- Experience in handling power tools
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs
- Must be willing and available to travel away from home for several weeks at a time, since this position will be 100% travel in North VA, DC, and MD
- Candidate will be working primarily in a central office, which is a structure used by telecommunications companies to house equipment needed to direct and process telephone calls and data traffic (Telephone Central Offices (CO's) are also known as telephone switching centers, wire centers, or telephone exchanges)
- Must have basic hand tools, be able to lift at least 50 lbs, work off 6'/8' A ladders, and use test equipment/fiber scope
