Remote Georgia Attorney (Plaintiffs)
Job Summary
We are expanding our dynamic team and seeking experienced Creditors' Rights Attorneys to represent national banks and major financial institutions in high-volume litigation matters throughout Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in civil litigation, with expertise in breach of contract, debt collection, judgment enforcement, counterclaim defense, and court appearances. As a key member of our firm, you will manage complex caseloads from pre-suit through post-judgment execution, provide strategic legal counsel, oversee support staff, and ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations. This role is remote but may require travel to local courts for in-person hearings.
Key Responsibilities
• Review client files to ensure compliance with federal rules of evidence and debt collection standards (e.g., FDCPA).
• Manage a high-volume caseload through all phases of litigation, including pre-suit demands, lawsuit initiation, discovery, motions, trials, mediations, negotiations, and judgment enforcement.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions to aggressively advocate for their interests.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to maintain efficient case progression.
• Monitor and stay abreast of evolving laws, regulations, and court procedures impacting creditors' rights and firm operations.
• Develop case strategies, supervise staff, and contribute to firm growth initiatives.
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar.
• At least 2 years of experience in creditors' rights, contract law, debt collection, or related civil litigation (plaintiffs' side preferred).
• Demonstrated success in litigation, including court appearances, negotiations, and judgment execution.
• Strong analytical, research, writing, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while working independently and collaboratively.
• In-depth knowledge of Georgia court systems, procedures, and e-filing platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for managing staff and client relationships.
