[Remote] Junior QA Engineer – Recent Grads, This One's for You!

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Teak is reinventing refunds with a proprietary SaaS embedded refund protection platform. They are seeking a talented Junior QA Engineer to ensure the quality of their technology stack through foundational testing tasks and collaboration with senior QA members. Responsibilities • Ownership of core manual testing tasks, including writing and executing basic manual test cases, performing manual regression testing, and meticulously documenting test execution, bugs, and contributing to process documentation • Collaborate with Senior QA Engineers or product owners to create and update test cases in TestRail for new features and releases, aligning test plans with user stories and business requirements • Assist with exploratory testing on new and existing features, especially regarding partner site testing • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the software, identify bugs and document them in the bug tracking system, and ensure that fixes are implemented correctly • Communicate test results and findings to stakeholders, providing regular updates on testing progress and issues • Learn and experiment with new testing methodologies, automation concepts (e.g., Playwright), and AI-assisted tools for test planning • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and QA syncs, providing regular updates on testing progress and issues Skills • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience • Ability to think logically and determine test cases from a project description • Ability to learn and apply new testing methodologies and tools • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams • Basic understanding and ability to write code in TypeScript • No formal QA experience is required, but you must be technically curious, eager to learn, and excited to grow • Familiarity with manual testing tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies • Experience developing with Python and Typescript • Enthusiasm for learning test automation concepts and frameworks (e.g., Playwright) • Interest in experimenting with AI tools for test planning and productivity Benefits • Fully Remote Working Environment • Competitive Salary and Equity Opportunities • Unlimited Paid Time-off • Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits • Annual Bonus Program • 401k Matching • $100/month for Event Ticket Purchase • Company Sponsored Events Company Overview • Teak helps businesses turn refunds from a cost-intensive headache into a revenue-generating differentiator.
