Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines to support business-critical applications and analytics
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable code, and implement automated testing and deployment processes
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the organization, adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to enable data-driven insights and decision-making
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
- Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
- Define and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for data products and processes, ensuring high availability and performance
- Support large-scale experimentation and proof-of-concepts, driving business value through data-driven innovation
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data lake frameworks, data warehousing, and data analytics tools
- 2+ years of experience with SQL development, performance tuning, and programming languages such as Python, PySpark, or Scala
- 2+ years of experience with cloud data engineering, preferably with Azure
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience with data profiling and data quality tools, such as Apache Griffin or Deequ
- Proficient in version control systems, such as GitHub, and CI/CD tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure certification or equivalent experience with cloud services
- Experience with multi-cloud integration, on-premises technologies, and hybrid environments
- Familiarity with statistical and machine learning techniques, as well as business intelligence tools like PowerBI
- Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and data glossaries
- Experience with agile development methodologies, DevOps, and DataOps practices
