Senior Endpoint Engineer-Information Technology - District-FR

Job Description The Senior Endpoint Engineer II is a senior technical role responsible for the architecture, engineering, security, and lifecycle management of the organization's endpoint environment. This position leads the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise endpoint platforms including operating system standards, device management, security controls, and automation solutions. The role serves as a subject matter expert for endpoint technologies and collaborates with Infrastructure, Security, Applications, and Service Desk teams to ensure endpoints are secure, standardized, and reliable across the enterprise. Design, implement, and maintain enterprise endpoint standards for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and virtual endpoints. • Lead engineering efforts for Windows operating systems, endpoint configuration, and system hardening. • Develop and maintain enterprise device images, provisioning workflows, and lifecycle processes. • Define endpoint architecture standards aligned with security, performance, and operational requirements. Endpoint Management Platforms • Engineer and administer endpoint management solutions such as: o Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager o Group Policy and device configuration controls o Software deployment and patching platforms • Develop automation for device provisioning, software deployment, and configuration enforcement. • Support cloud-based endpoint management and hybrid environments. Endpoint Security & Compliance • Engineer and maintain endpoint security controls including: o Microsoft Defender for Endpoint o Disk encryption and device protection standards o Endpoint compliance policies and configuration baselines • Partner with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability remediation and security posture improvements. • Support endpoint audit readiness and compliance initiatives. • Serve as Tier III escalation for endpoint-related incidents and complex technical issues. • Provide root cause analysis and long-term remediation solutions. • Support incident response efforts related to endpoint compromise or security events. • Work closely with Service Desk and Desktop teams to improve endpoint support processes. • Lead endpoint refresh planning, device lifecycle tracking, and asset standardization. • Define approved hardware standards and endpoint configuration baselines. • Support enterprise imaging and provisioning modernization efforts. • Maintain documentation of endpoint standards, processes, and architecture. Project Leadership & Collaboration • Lead endpoint engineering initiatives and modernization projects. • Collaborate with Applications teams to ensure compatibility and performance of enterprise software. • Partner with Infrastructure and Network teams on endpoint connectivity requirements. • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and support staff. Qualifications Education: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent combination of certifications and progressive experience in lieu of degree Experience: • Minimum 8 years of experience in endpoint engineering or systems administration • Minimum 3 years in a senior or lead technical role About Us The Health Care District of Palm Beach County is an independent special taxing district that has served as a healthcare safety net for more than 36 years to fill in gaps in access to healthcare services.
