Job Overview
In this critical role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to establish and scale multiple aspects of our growing ads business, including pricing, customer incentives, order management, contract support, and advertiser agency partnership management. As a Senior Ads Revenue Accountant, you will provide revenue recognition guidance, technical memo preparation, and contract negotiation support to drive business growth and ensure operational excellence. You will be based in either New York City, NY, or Los Gatos, CA, and will work collaboratively with our US and international offices across multiple time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide revenue recognition guidance, including technical memo preparation, for new products, features, and pricing changes introduced as part of our ads business
- Act as primary Revenue Accounting point of contact in the contract negotiation and execution of US and/or Global revenue partnerships with large US brands and agencies
- Partner with the Technical Accounting team to prepare memos for contracts or non-standard offerings
- Operate in a cross-functional working group to determine customer incentives and remediation efforts to incentivize customer behavior
- Implement, test, and assess changes to our ad infrastructure, including our CRM tool and order management system (OMS), to support customer incentives
- Ensure updates to rate cards, pricing policies, and flat fee prices are reflected in both upstream and downstream systems
- Liaise with Sales, Sales Ops, Product, and Engineering to oversee the repository of contractual terms, incentive arrangements, and customer offerings
- Understand and analyze ads revenue drivers and their impact on internally and externally reported business metrics
- Collaborate with international finance and international tax teams to bridge US GAAP and Statutory/Local reporting requirements
- Drive ongoing operational process improvements with Sales Ops, infrastructure engineering, Pricing Team, and Workday ERP teams
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of prior accounting experience, preferably in an advertising technology, media company, and/or Ad Agency/HoldCo
- Proven project management experience and demonstrated ability to drive process improvements
- Experience working with complex revenue contracts and thinking through technical and operational accounting solutions
- Experience reviewing and accounting for customer ad credits/bonus media (Added Value or Makegoods)
- Experience with CRM and/or OMS
- Ability to automate or scale revenue-related workstreams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships
- Self-motivated and dedicated, with the ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively
- Intellectually curious and passionate, with a desire to learn and improve processes
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Bonus Experience
While not required, the following experience is a plus:
- Experience with Workday Financials or other cloud-based ERP systems

Compensation and Benefits
arenaflex offers a competitive compensation structure, with a range of $50,000 - $240,000 for this role. We also provide comprehensive benefits, including:
