About Our Team

As a Senior Item Planner, you'll be a key member of this team, driving the design and execution of Netflix's ad-supported consumer experiences across various surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of Netflix's ad-supported consumer experiences across multiple surfaces, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for our members.
- Identify, analyze, and drive the future of our ad materials, staying ahead of industry trends and best practices.
- Establish standards to ensure a high-quality ad experience for our members across various content types.
- Create design briefs that provide business, design, and engineering clarity for key initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration across teams.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, content creators, data scientists, and business teams to develop and iterate on new ideas and facilitate product execution.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong background in consumer product design, with a focus on ad-supported experiences. Here are the essential qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as an Item Fashioner (or equivalent experience) in the consumer product space, driving high-impact initiatives from concept to execution.
- A rich portfolio that showcases your expertise at the intersection of advertising, television, and streaming, with case studies that demonstrate your thought leadership.
- A passion for great design and a willingness to amplify our team culture.
- Demonstrated expertise in consumer product experiences that integrate advertising, with a deep understanding of advertising best practices and industry trends.
- Strong communication skills that inspire stakeholders and eloquently articulate a vision.
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail (e.g., writing documentation to support your design decisions).
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in video production and editing tools.
- Experience in web advertising and/or marketing design.
- Experience in live television broadcasting and/or television advertising.
- Experience working directly with advertisers to deliver their vision.
