Project: National digital system to track the movement of goods using an electronic waybill (e-Bilty), implemented in collaboration with government and international development stakeholders.
Required Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in the Pakistani logistics, freight, or transportation industry
- Location: Pakistan (mandatory)
- Languages: Fluent in English and Urdu (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of local transport networks, trade routes, and informal market practices
Key Responsibilities
- Map and document the current Bilty system and cargo movement processes (domestic, cross-border, and transit)
- Identify bottlenecks, risks, and weak control areas in existing supply chain operations
- Conduct field research, interviews, and stakeholder discussions with transporters, drivers, logistics companies, and traders
- Define business process flows and data requirements for the planned Cargo Tracking System (CTS) and e-Bilty platform
Must have Project Experience (in at least 1 or more)
- Led or supported logistics process assessments for customs, tax, or regulatory authorities, focusing on identifying revenue leakage, compliance gaps, and operational risks
- Hands-on experience in digitizing trade and transport documents, including planning rollout strategies and driving adoption among transporters and SMEs
- Practical involvement in GPS/RFID-based vehicle or cargo tracking systems, including field testing, operational validation, and performance assessment
- Experience translating on-ground logistics realities into system requirements, SOPs, or digital workflows
