About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Inside Sales, you will oversee our Inside Core team, focusing on bringing on the best local and regional small and mid-size merchants onto DoorDash. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading the vision and decisions for the Inside Pre-Sales Core team and contributing to the overarching vision of the Pre-Sales organization.
- Owning the relationship with other Senior Managers and Directors within and peripheral to your team and effectively leading the vision of the company.
- Building and creating the ecosystem around cross-functional team building.
- Managing an organization or a sizable team with the responsibility of ensuring its effectiveness and continued growth.
- Driving the sales conversion with the highest value Rx Mx.
- Executing against priority initiatives for senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, Inside Sales, you will be responsible for:
Team Leadership and Development
- Leading and developing front-line managers to drive team performance and meet company objectives.
- Creating a culture of coaching and continuous learning within the team.
- Identifying and addressing skill gaps and development needs within the team.
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth and conversion.
- Analyzing sales data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create and size sales initiatives that impact sales organization performance at scale.
Partnerships and Collaboration
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, including Sales Ops, Sales Planning, Finance, and other organizations within DoorDash.
- Collaborating with senior leadership across Pre-Sales to drive growth and partnership goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Essential Qualifications
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Inside Sales, preferably within DoorDash or a similar industry.
- 4+ years of experience leading teams that exceed goals.
- 7+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on full-cycle, transactional sales cycles.
- Strong management skills, including leading OKRs, planning & forecasting, hiring, and driving process enhancements.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to create and size sales initiatives that impact sales organization performance at scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience as a second-line leader (i.e., managing leaders).
- Experience with sales management tools, such as SFDC, Outreach, and Chorus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decisions.
