Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team, providing night shift support to our customers. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for performing complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software. You will work with stakeholders to define system scope and objectives, establish baselines, and develop critical and complex application programs for computer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and document complex application programs for computer systems
- Perform technical detail design, coding, testing of applications, and serve as a subject matter expert for customer and internal discussions
- Develop and analyze interface design documentation, comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures, and deliver large systems for tens of thousands of users
- Perform software analysis, including requirements and use case development and design, implement and document source code, and perform software testing
- Develop software solutions for enterprise environments, analyze and implement functional and non-functional requirements, and perform operations and maintenance of existing systems
- Provide direct technical support for high-level, high-visibility, and critical trouble calls for supported applications, and work with cross-functional teams to develop highly reliable software that runs at scale
- Mentor junior software engineers and assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with software development, basic coding, and compilation, software architecture/design, user requirements definition, and software specification development
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, C, Python), cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure), and database technologies (e.g., cloud, SQL, Oracle, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate technical requirements to all levels of expertise
- Strong experience with Deployment/Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing/Continuous Delivery processes and tools, and expertise in CI/CD tools and frameworks
