We're now seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Pricing Specialist to join our team and drive success in our sales and pricing operations.
Job Summary
As a Senior Strategic Pricing Specialist, you will play a critical role in preparing and reviewing financial and business case models to inform sales opportunity pricing and capital funding decisions. You will work closely with senior management, sales, and product teams to communicate financial details, risks, and other relevant factors associated with specific business opportunities. Your expertise will help drive business growth, optimize deal pricing, and ensure adherence to business modeling guidelines.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and facilitate the day-to-day financial review, analysis, and approval process for large enterprise customer opportunities, ensuring timely and informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with Sales and Sales Engineering teams to create customized deal pricing, leveraging your financial expertise to drive business growth.
- Work closely with Product and Vendor Management teams to incorporate third-party costs into pricing and financial models, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for pricing approvals, promoting the adoption of business modeling guidelines and resolving financial, modeling, and product issues as they arise.
- Communicate financial scenarios and insights to senior management, sales, and product teams, utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform additional business and financial analysis tasks as required, responding to ad hoc requests from senior management and exercising independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, or a combination of coursework and experience that demonstrates equivalent knowledge and skills.
- 5-7 years of related experience in a pricing or deal desk function, with a minimum of 2 years of experience pricing telecommunications services, including Managed Services, Ethernet, and Broadband Internet services.
- Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyze complex data sets.
- Strong understanding of financial metrics and modeling parameters, such as Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, and Free Cash Flow.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to senior management and other stakeholders.
