We are seeking a visionary leader to fill the role of Secretary - ICT (Security & Audit Control) at the Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK). As a key player in the nation's digital transformation journey, you will be responsible for shaping the future of ICT security and audit control, driving innovation, and ensuring the integrity of our ICT infrastructure.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and direction in the development, implementation, and review of ICT security and audit strategies, guidelines, and standards. You will oversee the Cyber Security and Systems Audit & Control directorates, reporting directly to the Principal Secretary. Your expertise will be crucial in aligning ICT vision, mission, and strategic objectives with national development policies and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive ICT security and audit strategies, ensuring alignment with national development policies and goals
- Provide leadership and oversight in the formulation, implementation, and review of ICT security and audit guidelines, standards, and procedures
- Strengthen governance and ensure the prudent utilization of resources in ICT security and audit control functions
- Facilitate research, development, and implementation of cybersecurity and audit best practices, ensuring consistent application in the ICT industry
- Provide expert advice to the government on ICT cybersecurity and audit matters, and facilitate public awareness and promotion of cybersecurity
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- Minimum of 10 years of service, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position in ICT or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and a Master's degree in ICT or a related discipline
- Membership to a relevant professional body and a certificate in project management (added advantage)
- Outstanding managerial and administrative capability, with wide professional experience in ICT policy development, implementation, and evaluation
- Demonstrated clear understanding of national development policies, goals, and objectives
